Hello Blog-o-shere

I dream of nothing.
Nothing as practice.

Opening a storefront business on a busy promenade, with a sign, white on white:

Mental Enemas.

And inside, on a bare wood floor, with bare walls,
I would sit
Before the plate-glass window
Advertising nothing
Selling nothing
Perhaps in home-spun cloth.

if i could figure out how to work one of those spinning wheel things.

Truths (since we have illusions, and at the risk of getting overly heavy, yada yada)

  • Truth #1: There is always some truth in what others say to you, or about you.
  • Truth #2: Nothing expressed in words is ever completely true.
  • Truth #3: Truth is found in the 3 S's: stillness, silence and solitude.
  • Truth #4: The 3 S's may be found in any moment, no matter how hectic, dangerous or awkward.
  • Truth #5: There is never other than this very moment.
  • Truth #6: The truth and beauty of each moment is in the moment itself. No form need be placed on any moment to make it more true or beautiful.
  • Truth #7: Every person is worthy of love.
  • Truth #8: Every person is capable of loving everyone and everything.
  • Truth #9: Nothing is required to make you happy.
  • Truth #10: Nature is not especially concerned about your existence.

About Me

My photo
Traveler
Life involves an endless reckoning and experimenting with balance. As we learn and experience, the fulcrum shifts, and we find new equilibriums. These two blogs respresent contrasting ends on the balance. Ego leads us through the world, and presents our face to others. But too much ego is vanity, desperation and despair. The sublime, the empty, on the other hand (or the other side of the brain) provides a deep richness, sense of connection and love. Yet it will not feed us, cloth us, and maintain us in the world. Each side can play tricks and appear through illusion. Through the heart, a balance is found.
