"I think the worst thing in the world is to be lying on your death bed saying, 'I wish I had tried."

Perhaps the worst thing in the world is to be thinking about
how in the future
you'll be obsessed about the past.

Perhaps the worst thing in the world
Is to worry about what might be
The worst thing in the world

Perhaps the only worst thing in the world
Is to criticize another's idea
Of the worst thing in the world.

But at any rate,
Once you die
What will you care?

And if you have nothing better to do

Than to spend the last few moments of life

In any moment other than the here and now

Savoring whatever splendor might be had

In the last rustle of curtains.

The last giggles of kids down the street

Then that is to be regretted most.

Almost as much as the regret of losing the present moment,

With the kids playing

And the dinner cooking

In thinking about that moment

Or how others might think of it

Etc.
